Title Check
A lawyer checks the ownership history of a property for 13 or 30 years and reports what was found, before you buy.
What you get
A title check looks at who has owned a property and how it passed from one owner to the next. It helps you find problems before you pay, such as a missing link document, a loan on the property or a claim by a family member.
Choose 13 or 30 years. A lawyer from our team studies the title deeds for that period and checks them against the Encumbrance Certificate and the land or tax records. You get a report of what we found and what to clarify with the seller.
The check is based on the documents and records available. It lowers the risk but cannot rule out every problem, such as agreements that were never registered.

Questions
Should I choose 13 or 30 years?
A 30-year check goes further back and can find older problems. If a bank or lawyer has asked for a period, choose that.
Does a clear report mean there is no risk?
No. It means we found no problem in the documents and records we checked. Some issues, such as unregistered agreements, may not appear in any record.
I do not have all the documents. Can you still check?
Share what you have. Our team will tell you what is missing and how it affects the check.
Can I order this for a property on your marketplace?
Yes. You can order a title check for any property, including one listed on our marketplace.
