Which state are you in?

Adangal / Pahani

The Adangal (Andhra Pradesh) or Pahani (Telangana, Karnataka) land record for a survey number, as a digital copy.

What you get

Adangal and Pahani are village land records kept by the revenue department for each survey number. They show who holds the land, its extent, the type of land and details such as crops. The record is called Adangal in Andhra Pradesh and Pahani in Telangana. In Karnataka it is the Pahani, also called the RTC.

People need it to buy or sell agricultural land, for crop loans and other loans against land, for government schemes and to check the record before a deal.

Questions

How is the 1B different from the Adangal?

Both are Andhra Pradesh records. The Adangal is the village record for each survey number, with details such as land type and crops. The 1B, or Record of Rights, lists the land each pattadar holds in the village, with the khata number.

Is the Pahani the same as the RTC in Karnataka?

Yes. In Karnataka the Pahani is also called the RTC, short for Record of Rights, Tenancy and Crops.

Does this record prove ownership?

It shows who is recorded as holding the land, but it is a revenue record, not a title deed. Our Title Check service looks at the deeds as well.

Can I get the record for an earlier year?

Tell us the year you need. Older records can take longer, and some may not be available.
